Making Connections

Why do local business networks work?

Many of our members network in the cities around our region, travelling to speaker events, dinners, etc and staying late into the evening. With work creeping increasingly into to personal and family time, finding a balanace between work and and home can be a challenge.

Networking is not something that comes naturally to everyone and anything that can connect you meaningfully to another person really helps in starting that initial conversation.

Local business networks help people to find connections closer to home where they can build relationships beyond business which are more sustainable.

This week our members were not just talking business but starting to make the personal connections where people were buying and selling houses, sharing stories of previous employers, volunteering for local community projects and discussing new business ideas.

The Calverley Business Network is much more than a place where people come to network but a place where people re-connect with the local community and grow business together.

The network is growing fast with new members joining every week. We would like to welcome Lucy Brook from Spice Gas and Richard and Judy Raistrick.
